Visions of China

I was super excited to find out that the Metropolitan Museum of Art was hosting a special exhibition showcasing beautiful Chinese-inspired fashions this summer. The China: Through the Looking Glass exhibition is an eye-popping exploration of fashion inspired by Chinese traditional costumes, paintings and porcelain vases. The dresses were flowy, alluring and glossy. The embroideries were dainty, surreal and detailed. We chose to go on a Saturday afternoon and the museum was packed with visitors oowing and awing at the dazzling display of costumes and ornaments.  Every dress was worth hawking over because there was so much richness to the fabric and intricacy to the designs.

This exhibit is easily one of the favourite fashion displays I have ever visited! If you are in New York this weekend, you are in luck because they have extended this exhibit until September 7th due to its popularity.  I will spare you guys from more words and let's move on to the pictures!
